Brendan Meyer

Twenty-one year old Brendan Meyer is already an accomplished actor. While putting several years of training under his belt, he has also been working steadily in the entertainment business for the last ten years. Best known for his love and extensive knowledge of live theatre, film, and TV, Brendan is a well respected contributor to the acting community. His impeccable comedic timing, paired with his love and talent for dramatic roles, position him to become an undeniable force in the film and television industry in the years to come.

This year, two of Brendan’s short films: Wolff’s Law and Jean-Marc Vallee (Wild, Dallas Buyers Club) Executive Produced Birthday Boy will be hitting the film festival circuit. You can see Brendan on this season of iZombie, Motive, Backstrom, Garage Sale Mystery, Falling Skies, Disney’s Best Friends Whenever, and a couple of top secret projects soon to be announced.

Brendan just finished up Maker Studios & James Franco’s new series CAMP in Los Angeles, and then he will be returning to New Mexico for the third time to film his next series! Stay tuned here or on Brendan’s social media sites for information coming soon!

Last year, Brendan demonstrated his dramatic chops playing opposite Ted Danson as Mark Powell in CBS’ CSI: The Fallen, Myles in  CW’s The 100, and returned to his comedic roots as Colton in the Fox/WB Comedy Pilot No Place Like Home from Ricky Blitt and Johnny Galecki (Big Bang Theory) opposite Jane Kazmarek (Malcolm in the Middle), Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), and David James Elliott (Jag).

Brendan has filmed all over North America: in LA, New Mexico, Toronto, and Vancouver, as well as his home town of Edmonton. After wrapping his highly successful eighty episode run in the titular role of Adam Young on the international hit series Mr. Young last year, Meyer has been working non stop! His  many TV credits include, Hallmark’s Cedar Cove and The Christmas Ornament, Teen Nick/YTV’s Life With Boys, each season of R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour, Dinosapien and, of course, his lead role as Henry in the Disney Channel Original Movie Girl VS Monster opposite Olivia Holt (I Didn’t Do It). Meyer kicked off 2014 with a  visit to Sundance to promote his feature film, The Guest, where he played opposite Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey) and Maika Monroe (Independence Day). His directorial debut A Job premiered at the Montreal World film festival last summer!

Brendan completed three seasons with the Freewill Shakespeare Festival in Edmonton. His past theatre credits include Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, Titus Andronicus, Comedy of Errors and Richard III (Freewill Players); and Beneath The Ice (Fringe Theatre Adventures). He also has numerous directing (Fourteen, The Tempest) and acting (The Haunting of Hathaway House, The Tempest, Twelfth Night and An Unnatural Turn) credits with Celsius Youth Theatre, where he is the co-founder and was the co-artistic director.

Brendan is a self-professed Shakespeare nerd, who writes his own Shakespeare adaptations and screenplays in his free time. He is very passionate about movies and can spend hours talking about them! He has travelled the world with his family, seen many great plays and musicals, and maintains an extensive library of plays and books on the industry.  He is currently holding table reads of awesome plays with his fellow acting buddies!

Brendan is very committed to giving back. He has strong ties with Vancouver based Project Limelight, an inner city youth theatre program in Vancouver, and India’s One! International, an organization running schools for disadvantaged youth.  He has several screenplays in development, and writes his own Shakespeare adaptations.  When he has free time, you can find him in front of a movie screen, studying the greats such as Humphrey Bogart, Leonardo DiCaprio and anything by Woody Allen.

Brendan is currently located in LA but often returns to Canada for work and play.
